Agricorps

Summer Learning Program for Teens: AgriCorps is a weeklong resident program for teens (ages 14 - 17) to learn business planning skills through organic farming. AgriCorps members will receive educational lessons, lectures from local farmers and participate in hands on farming/gardening activities. Youth will learn how to grow veggies as well as various business skills that can be applied to a career in sustainable agriculture or any future endeavors.

At the end of the week, the group will help with a veggie harvest, put into place their marketing/advertising plan, and sell their produce with Wellspring at a Saturday farmers market!

2016 Dates: July 31- August 6

Lodging: Wellspring is a retreat and conference center with two dorm style guesthouses where AgriCorps members will stay during the week. Boys will reside in one of the guesthouses and girls in the other. A same-sex counselor will be on staff each night in the two respective houses.

Healthy, organic breakfasts, lunches and unlimited snacks from the garden will be provided daily. We will work to accommodate any dietary restrictions: please indicate on registration form!
